This is the personal website of
Dan Herbert and Janet Stead.
We moved to
Washago, Ontario, Canada in March of 2004. We love
Washago. Fact is... we love Washago so much, we created a natural shrine to the rocks and trees in our back yard which we call The Green Room. This project was created in the spring of 2007. Be sure to check out our
Rock Columns photo journal.
We are both self employed in our own respective businesses and together we are partners in another business called Distinctive Golf Collection. Dan owns Credit Bureau Collections Ltd. in Barrie, Ontario and Janet owns & operates CTC Computer Training & Consulting, also in Barrie.
We were married on Saturday, January 27th, 2007, Janet's birthday. Our wedding was a complete surprise to our dinner club who thought they were simply being hosted for dinner. As a joke they all arrived in their pajamas and the joke was on them because they ended up attending our wedding dressed very inappropriately.
Shame Shame.
We thrive on creating things, whether it be friendships, companies or social events. We enjoy our summer vacations in Woods Bay, Ontario and love nothing more than hosting our many friends and family while we are there.
Woods Bay is located in the Moon River Basin on Georgian Bay. If Washago is not the perfect place to be... then Woods Bay is. You will find us there in July of each year. This very simple cabin is owned by
Jim & Lynn Grisdale and we rent from them every year. We truly appreciate their lifestyle and their consideration for our passion to enjoy this part of the world.
Dan loves to play
hockey in the winter along with running in the summer.
We are into photography and hope you enjoy browsing through our many
photo albums on this website
and on
Picasa. Please be sure to check out the photo pages from Dan's January 2007 trip west with
Colin Stead.
You can also browse through our
YouTube videos.
We are both charter members of
The Rotary Club of Washago & Area Centennial and we love to participate in the various
intercultural exchange programs offered through
Rotary International.
